THE PIER TO PIER OBSERVATION 2019
If you have an open mind and the courage to step outside your comfort zone and carry an idea through to its logical conclusion, based on scientific principles and empirical evidence, then I sincerely hope you will personally gain knowledge and understanding from taking part in this experience, even dare I say, illumination.
With respect and truth

Can a light source horizontal (or close to horizontal) to the ground and no more than 1 metre above tide level, be observed 15.3 km away over the sea in the evening, by a camera horizontal (or close to horizontal) to the ground and no more than 1 metre above tide level?
I would appreciate it if you would read through the EQUIPMENT and METHOD sections and determine the suitability of the experimental set-up in achieving the stated aim.
In this experiment the independent variable is the height of the light source above tide level (up to a maximum height of 1 metre).
The following prominent YouTubers and camera enthusiasts have been specifically invited to review the method and scientific principles.
We look forward to their participation in this objective, empirical and scientific community based project.
